Mimicking Normal Processes:  The Artificial Pancreas Treatment® is a patented method of using a proprietary FDA-cleared Pump to administer insulin intravenously in a means that mimics normal insulin stimulation of the liver.  When coupled with the proprietary protocols, the result of the Artificial Pancreas Treatment® is to stop the progression of diabetic complications by shifting abnormal diabetic carbohydrate and lipid metabolism to normal, and restoring body-wide cellular metabolic functions.  It is the fact that the Artificial Pancreas Treatment® mimics normal pancreas function that allows it to be so effective and life changing.  When cells regain metabolic normality, they simply do what their DNA was designed to do, which is properly metabolize carbohydrates and not suffer the terrible results of fat and protein metabolism.  Since all cells convert substrates into cellular energy (adenosine triphosphate), and since this is the process that the Artificial Pancreas Treatment® normalizes, it is not surprising that all conditions of Diabetes reverse to normalization. The Treatment Described:  New patients come into our clinic twice the first week, then once a week for a period of time, then once every ten days, then once every two or three weeks for a 4.5 hour treatment.  This commitment is welcomed as these patients live with the devastating physical and mental impact of diabetes, and once a week is nothing in exchange for getting their lives back.  Patients enjoy coming to the clinic due to the improvement in quality of life they obtain, and the elimination of complications.  Artificial Pancreas Treatment® is not a subtle treatment where marginal improvement is a victory; it is an “amazingly effective” procedure for even the most ill.  In fact, the more ill the patient is, the more dramatic the clinical outcomes.  Going from very ill or dying, to physically well, is particularly satisfying to all participants and practitioners alike.

During the treatment the patient sits in a recliner chair for 3 one-hour infusions and has approximately 15 minutes of rest between them.  During the treatment the patient reads, watches TV, catches up on emails, surfs the internet, uses their computer, talks on the telephone or engages in any other passive activity.
